Originally founded in Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1976, the firm was incorporated as Nims, Calvani & Associates in 1979, when Robert Calvani, AIA became a shareholder. Within the following decade the firm opened two offices, one in Albuquerque and another in Las Cruces, and closed the doors of the original studio in Carlsbad. These offices later separated into two distinct firms, and in 2002, in response to significant growth and additions to the principal staff, the firm was renamed NCA Architects. With over 37 years of experience in New Mexico, NCA Architects is proud to offer a full range of architectural services that are dedicated to creating value for our clients. We are organized to provide superior design and responsive, personalized service, regardless of project location or size statewide.
Our goal is to provide our clients with end results that will hold up to the demands of their use while being easy to maintain and not cost a fortune to produce. The harsh desert climate coupled with New Mexico's economic environment, increases the importance of having spaces that will last over time. NCA Architects is committed to sustainable design practices.
